Gregor’s research focuses on climate change mitigation and adaptation, financing of renewable energy and energy efficiency, disaster risk management, science communication, corporate sustainability, risk transfer solutions and international climate governance.
His work has contributed to New Climate Economy, Green Bonds Framework, the SENDAI Framework on Disaster Risk Reduction of the UNISDR and the Warsaw Mechanism on Loss and Damage associated with Climate Change under the UNFCCC. He is particularly interested in developing services that help individuals, communities, corporations and institutions build resilience against climate impacts and promote social and economic development.
Gregor holds a Master in Spatial Planning and Development and a Bachelor in Sociology and Geography. He has comprehensive skills and experience in qualitative and quantitative methods, including statistical analysis and social network analysis. In connection to his work at SEI, Gregor is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Edinburgh, aiming to develop an integrative understanding of cognitive and behavioral change for climate change adaptation.
