Jenny joined SEI Asia in August 2019 as a Research Associate for the Gender, Environment, and Development research theme.
Jenny is a sociologist with a broad interest in the interrelationship between consumption, environmental justice, and gender. She holds a Masters degree (distinction) in Sociology and Global Change from the University of Edinburgh. Her thesis was conducted in conjunction with Mistra Future Fashion in Stockholm, where she looked at valuation mechanisms and symbolic associations that drive consumption practices within sustainable fashion markets. Under the funding of the Mistra Center for Sustainable Markets (MISUM), Jenny has co-authored an article on the topic.
Previously, Jenny worked as an Academic Program Assistant for the Gender and Sexuality Programme at a non-profit study abroad foundation in Copenhagen, Denmark.
