Lilian Yallop joined SEI Tallinn in 2025 as part of the Sustainable Cities and Resilient Communities Unit. She previously completed a summer internship at the institute in 2023.
Her interests include sustainable water management with an emphasis on building resilient cities that can adapt to climate impacts such as flooding and drought. She is particularly drawn to systems thinking, exploring how interconnected challenges in water, energy, and urban planning require integrated solutions. In addition, Lilian is interested in societal engagement and governance, especially how inclusive dialogue and effective policies can support just and sustainable transitions.
Lilian has a Bachelor’s degree in Global Sustainability Science and a Master’s degree in Water Science Management from Utrecht University. Her master thesis examined the impacts of climate change on drinking water distribution networks in the Netherlands.
