Lynsi Burton

Lynsi Burton is a Communications Officer based in the SEI US Seattle office. She leads US Center communications and serves as an editor on the SEI Publications team.

Lynsi edits SEI publications, writes feature stories on SEI findings, produces social media and web updates, sets communication strategy and coordinates US media outreach. She also leads editing and communications for the Production Gap Report. She headed up outreach for the 2022 International Conference on Fossil Fuel Supply and Climate Policy in Oxford, UK.

Lynsi has spent most of her career as a news reporter, reporting breaking news, crime, features and social justice. Before joining SEI in 2021, she was communications manager at The Seattle Public Library Foundation, heading up publications, virtual events, speeches and communication.

Lynsi holds a B.A. in Political Science from Washington State University.
