Lynsi Burton is a Communications Officer based in the SEI US Seattle office. She leads US Center communications and serves as an editor on the SEI-wide Publications team.
Lynsi edits SEI publications, writes feature stories on SEI findings, produces social media and web updates and coordinates US media outreach. She has also served on SEI’s Production Gap Report and Currents teams, and led communications for the Carbon Lock-In Initiative. She also led outreach for the 2022 International Conference on Fossil Fuel Supply and Climate Policy in Oxford, UK.
Lynsi spent most of her career as a news reporter, reporting breaking news, crime, features and social justice. Before joining SEI, she was communications manager at The Seattle Public Library Foundation, heading up publications, virtual events, speeches, and external communication.
Lynsi holds a B.A. in Political Science from Washington State University.
