Lynsi Burton

Lynsi Burton is a Communications Officer based in the SEI US Seattle office. She leads US Centre communications and serves as an editor on the SEI-wide Publications team.

Lynsi writes feature stories on SEI findings, assists with social media and web updates, edits SEI publications and coordinates US media outreach. She also serves on SEI’s Production Gap Report, Currents and Knowledge Management teams, and leads communications for the Carbon Lock-In Initiative. She also led communications and outreach for the 2022 International Conference on Fossil Fuel Supply and Climate Policy in Oxford, UK.

Lynsi spent most of her career as a news reporter, reporting breaking news, crime, features and social justice issues. Before joining SEI, she was communications manager at The Seattle Public Library Foundation, heading up publications, virtual events, speeches, and external communication.

Lynsi holds a B.A. in Political Science from Washington State University.
