Lynsi Burton is a Communications Officer based in the SEI US Seattle office.
Lynsi spent most of her career as a news reporter, from covering the Capitol as an intern in Washington, D.C., to reporting local news in towns small and large throughout western Washington. Her journalism career culminated in six years at SeattlePI, reporting breaking news, crime, and social justice issues. She has also written about local entrepreneurs at Seattle Business Magazine and covered voting rights and reproductive policy at YES! Magazine.
Before joining SEI, she spent 2.5 years as communications manager at The Seattle Public Library Foundation, heading up publications, virtual events, speeches, and external communication.
Lynsi holds a B.A. in Political Science from Washington State University, where she spent most of her time writing, editing, and managing staff at The Daily Evergreen.
