Pin Pravalprukskul is a Research Associate in SEI Asia.

Pin’s work focuses on agriculture, natural resource management and rural livelihoods. Pin also contributes to communications for the centre and its projects, including the Sustainable Mekong Research Network (SUMERNET).

Prior to joining SEI Asia, Pin interned with SEI in Davis, California, assisting with the development and application of water resource models. Pin holds a B.A. in Environmental Studies from Wellesley College, and a M.S. in Sustainable Development in Agriculture from the University of Copenhagen and Montpellier SupAgro. Her thesis assessed the climate change mitigation potential of agroforestry farms in the Kenyan Central Highlands. Pin’s interests include smallholder agriculture, climate change, gender and social inequality, sustainable consumption and science communication.

Pin also previously worked with SEI Asia in 2012 and supported projects including SUMERNET, the Northeast Thailand Futures local study under the Exploring Mekong Region Futures water-food-energy nexus project, and the Regional Climate Change Adaptation Knowledge Platform (AKP).
