Than Htway Lwin is a Project Coordinator at SEI Asia since May 2017 to present. Htway assists in coordination, building networks and partnerships as well as literature review, implementation designs, data collection & entry and analysis in Myanmar. Htway supports projects’ implementation and research actions related to natural resources management and Agricultural development in Myanmar.
Htway mainly involved the research projects of conservation on biodiversity, wetlands and riverine ecosystem, services and local livelihood development aspects for capacity building of community, civil society and government agencies, mainstreaming biodiversity, wetlands and ecosystem services into policies and plans and raising public awareness on conservation. Htway took a role to bridge researchers and community, government agencies and policy makers, to organize multi-stakeholders’ engagement, focus group discussion, KII, to conduct research survey, data collection and analysis of environmental conservation, to undertake M&E progress during and post period of research project. In addition, coordination, communication, and administration are another important responsibility with the multi-stakeholders at different levels.
Htway received the Bachelor of Agricultural Science degree from Yezin Agricultural University in 2006 and then 10 years later, Master of Science degree from Insect Natural Enemies Laboratory in Kyushu University, Japan in 2016. Htway had great chances to coach and supervise the students for conducting the field research, data analysis, reporting and presentation as she performed as a teacher in Yezin Agricultural University from 2008 to 2014. Moreover, Htway has participated in some collaborating projects for drinking water quality test in Inle lake in 2012. Htway was also an Event Coordinator to boost the quality fresh of Agricultural products and strengthen the market linkage for producers/farmers and exporters.
