Ylva Ran

Ylva Ran is a Research Fellow at SEI Headquarters. She joined the institute in 2013. She holds a B.Sc. in environmental sciences from Gothenburg University and an M.Sc. in Ecosystems, resilience and governance from the Stockholm Resilience Centre.

She has also graduated from Wageningen University at the Institute of Animal Sciences with a PhD degree in Animal Production Systems. Her PhD research focused on the impact of water and land use of livestock production systems in a landscape.

Since joining SEI her research has largely focused on natural resource use and management in agricultural systems. She has also studied the drivers of behaviour change in regard to technology uptake and designing effective interventions for sustainable transformations in complex social ecological systems.
