This one year pilot project was carried out in the Aguié province in southern Niger. The project aims to involve 700 households (8 villages) in the recycling of nutrients and organic matter from human excreta via simple urinals and composting toilets.
IFAD is the main donor of the project. CREPA is implementing the project in collaboration with PPILDA (a local development program financed by IFAD) and SEI’s EcoSanRes II program.
