The conference, held every five years, aims to give an overview of the state of environment in Tallinn. This time, the conference focuses on two themes. The first part of the conference is dedicated to the challenges and opportunities of the European Green Capital (EGC) Award, as seen by three winning cities (Copenhagen, Essen, Vitoria-Gasteiz) and Tallinn, currently applying for European Green Capital Award 2018.

The second part of the conference discusses climate change adaptation, which is one of the award criteria in EGC, in Estonian local authorities.

SEI Tallinn is also producing the conference compendium, based on Tallinn’s EGC application.
The previous conference was organized in 2011, similarly as a collaboration between SEI Tallinn and the Tallinn Environment Department.
