This project addresses the need for a sustainable, circular approach to waste, emphasizing separate collection, reuse, and recycling to reduce environmental impact and enhance economic growth.
Through a multi-layered approach, the project will focus on:
By supporting policy alignment, enhancing local skills, and fostering economic resilience, the project paves the way for BiH to transition toward a circular economy, ultimately improving resource use, creating jobs, and reducing waste management costs.
This project is financed by European Union funding – “Technical assistance for improved materials recovery from waste through separate collection, reuse and recycling based on circular economy principles”.
This funding is dedicated to empowering Bosnia and Herzegovina on its path to sustainable development and EU integration through effective waste management and circular economy practices. This project focuses on strengthening legislative alignment with EU standards, developing inclusive policy frameworks, and establishing sustainable waste collection and treatment systems.
