How has Latin America approached the challenges of the 2030 Agenda? What obstacles have countries encountered, and what solutions have they tried? This policy brief summarizes discussions at an informal retreat for policy-makers in Bogota, Colombia.
Two years into implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, countries around the world are still struggling with how to mainstream the Agenda into national policy priorities, how to support implementation and how to monitor progress.
On 24–25 October 2017, the Government of Colombia and the Independent Research Forum (IRF), an international grouping of 10 sustainable development institutes and think-tanks, held a retreat for Latin American policy-makers to share experiences and ideas on integrated approaches to implementation of the 2030 Agenda in the region.
This brief presents key learning outcomes, suggestions and recommendations formulated by the participants and summarized by the coordinating partners at SEI and RIMISP.
