SEI’s Philip Osano Speaks to Quartz on air quality and Sports

Air pollution is associated with over a million premature deaths per year in Africa, which occur due to people being exposed to harmful pollutants both indoors and outdoors. According to the IPCC 6th Assessment Report (AR6), Africa remains among the world’s most vulnerable regions to climate change with the continent facing a double burden of worsening air quality and climate vulnerability. SEI Africa director Philip Osano spoke to Quartz on the link between good air quality and sports.
