SEI’s Romanus Opiyo discusses urban green spaces and well-being in African cities

In an article on Urbanet, SEI researcher Romanus Opiyo says Urban green spaces are an important natural resource for cities.  He writes that these spaces provide a variety of social, economic, and environmental benefits which enhance the health and well-being of urban dwellers and the overall sustainability of cities. Opiyo reflects on the benefits that urban green spaces bestow on cities and the existing opportunities for the provision of such spaces through urban planning interventions.
