The African Sanitation Policy Guidelines (ASPG) is an initiative led by the African Ministers’ Council on Water (AMCOW), of which SEI is a member of the AMCOW AfricaSan Advisory Committee.

The ASPG will provide the necessary guidelines for African states to develop functional sanitation policies and create an enabling environment to support the implementation of inclusive sanitation and hygiene policies to achieve regional and international targets.

High-level participants, including heads of states, governments officials, ministers, donors, media, civil society organizations, WASH experts and relevant actors will be in attendance. The event aims to increase the participants’ understanding of ASPG content and add value to shaping the sanitation landscape and enabling environment of Africa.
