The State of the Science: Special IPCC Climate Event with Livestream from Stockholm
A special public forum will be livestreamed Saturday, 28 September from Stockholm following the release of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Fifth Assessment Report Working Group I Summary for Policymakers. This will be the first chance for the public to discuss the report directly with IPCC co-chairs and authors.
IPCC Working Group I co-chair Thomas Stocker (University of Bern, Switzerland) will present the Working Group I summary for policymakers on the physical science basis of climate change. His presentation will be followed by a one-hour Question and Answer session with Thomas Stocker, co-chair Qin Dahe (China Meteorological Administration) and lead authors of the report, moderated by Johan L Kuylenstierna (Stockholm Environment Institute).
The event, Climate Change: the state of the science will be opened with a talk by world-renowned science communicator and TED speaker Hans Rosling, who will discuss 200 years of global change putting climate change and climate science in this broader context.
