Camille Pross is a Research Associate at SEI Asia, part of the Gender, Environment and Development team.

Since joining SEI in August 2019, Camille has been working on advancing knowledge and capacities for gender, social and environmental justice. Her research focuses mostly on women environmental defenders and disaster risk reduction. She is the focal point for gender and human rights integration in the Strategic Collaborative Fund, providing bespoke support to grantees on designing and implementing more inclusive multistakeholder dialogues on various environmental topics. Camille also led a project on Covid-19, disaster risk reduction and migrant workers in Thailand, and co-authored several UN Women reports on the nexus between gender, climate change and disaster risk reduction.

Camille holds a Masters degree in Sustainable Development and a BA in Political Science from Science Po Lille, France. Prior to joining SEI, Camille interned with the UN Women Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific, providing support to the EmPower programme which aims to improve women’s resilience to climate-induced disasters.
