Kuntum joined SEI Asia in March 2020 as a Research Associate.
She is supporting the Policy Cluster in its work on Sustainable Development Goals.
She brings 10 years of experience in development in Southeast Asia and internationally, having taken on various roles from research, facilitation and program management. Her work focuses on natural resource management, community participation, gender and stakeholder engagement.
Prior to joining SEI, she was Program Coordinator at the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) where she coordinated projects under the Sustainable Landscapes Livelihoods team and also provided project management support to the Communication, Outreach and Engagement team.
Prior to that, she was an Asia Public Intellectual (API) fellow funded by the Nippon Foundation, and has worked for RECOFTC, USAID and MAP (Mangrove Action Project).
Kuntum holds an MA in Gender and Peace Building from the UN University for Peace and an MSc in Environment and Development from University of Edinburgh.
