Madeleine Fogde holds a broad background within the educational field. She is the Programme Director for Swedish International Agricultural Network Initiative (SIANI) hosted by SEI.

Madeleine has worked extensively with program development, information dissemination, capacity development and adult learning in Southern Africa with focus on Mozambique since 1993.

Her experiences with capacity development ranges from illiterate women in remote rural areas to politicians at central positions. Since 1998 she has contributed to the development of a bilateral rural water supply and eco-sanitation program for Austria in Mozambique.

Experiences generated in field have transformed into national strategies vital for Mozambiques achievements of the MDG’s.

In 2015, Madeleine was made a ledamot (member) of the Kungl. Skogs- och Lantbruksakademien (The Royal Swedish Academy of Agriculture and Forestry.)
