Olivia Brabbs
Victoria is a Communications Specialist with a broad range of scientific and communications experience in the academic and charity sectors. She is skilled in engaging with a wide range of research participants and transforming complex scientific information into engaging formats for diverse audiences.
Victoria designs communication and impact strategies for research projects and works closely with our Inclusive Citizen Science Research Group, She is SEI’s communication lead for our extensive work on indoor air quality, including the CHILI and Air Hub projects and the SAMHE (Schools’ Air quality Monitoring for Health and Education) initiative.
Victoria has a background in wildlife conservation and environmental education. She holds an MSc in Wildlife Management from the University of Reading and a BA in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge. She began her career as Assistant Warden at a bird observatory in southern Portugal before moving to work for the Church of Scotland as its first dedicated environmental officer. Prior to joining SEI in 2022, Victoria worked as Network Facilitator for an international research network on environmental history, Communications Officer for a York church and Senior Ethics Administrator in the University of York’s Biology Department.
