Liquid and gas chromatography for studying anaerobic degradation of baker’s yeast wastewater

5th International meeting of the Nordic Separation Science Society (NoSSS) was held in August 26–29, Tallinn, Estonia.The multidisciplinary meeting covering many aspects of modern chromatography and electrophoresis was organized by the Institute of Chemistry,Tallinn University of Technology.

More than twenty invited lectures and about thirty oral contributions were presented by distinguished scientists from Austria, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Japan, Poland, Russia, Slovakia and Turkey.This year’s meeting, was sponsored by Tallinn University of Technology, EuCheMS Division of Analytical Chemistry and by local companies including HNK, Quantum and Norlab OY.

The presentations, covering important topics such as capillary separations, mass spectrometry, microfluidics, biomolecule analysis, have attracted close to 150 participants including a strong group of students from the Czech and Estonian Republics.
