Scaling forest finance: leveraging trade relationships and policy enablers for tropical forests

Tropical forests are key to agreed climate goals. This event brings together experts and country representatives to explore how trade relationships and national policies can be harnessed to strengthen and scale up finance in support of forest conservation and a just transition.

The three international research groups involved – Climate Policy Initiative, Basque Centre for Climate Change, Global Canopy, SEI and Trase – will give short, but impactful, set piece contributions to help shape options and discussion. After the presentations we will hear reactions, ideas and provocations from the speakers.
