At the upcoming climate COP30, researchers from SEI will be on site to offer expert commentary and analysis on central topics, including the bioeconomy and forests, food and water systems, adaptation, Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and the energy transition.
The UN Climate Change Conference (COP30) will be held in Belém, Brazil, and runs from 10-21 November 2025.
Negotiators will advance several significant agenda items. These include indicators on the Global Goal on Adaptation (GGA) under the UAE–Belém Work Programme, the UAE Dialogue on implementing the Global Stocktake (GST) outcomes, the Just Transition Work Programme, the Enhanced Transparency Framework, Article 6 and Technology Mechanisms. NDCs and climate finance will also be prominent, although these topics are without an official titled space in the agenda.
SEI experts will participate in technical discussions and events on central topics, including the bioeconomy and forests, food and water systems, adaptation, NDCs and the energy transition. Below is the delegation list, including areas of expertise, languages and dates on-site in Belém.
