Stockholm Environment Institute’s Africa centre (SEI-Africa), in collaboration with the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA), has embarked on a process of identifying small and micro enterprises in Kenya’s bioeconomy sector to participate in the advancing bio economy development in Kenya (ABDK) project.
The project seeks to strengthen partnerships between Kenyan and Swedish bioeconomy actors while boosting Kenya’s transition toward a sustainable, inclusive, and circular economy.
ABDK will identify and support 80 small and micro-enterprises that use plants, waste, and organic materials under four main clusters:
The selected enterprises will receive tailored technical and business support, opportunities for collaboration with Swedish counterparts, and increased visibility in regional and global bioeconomy conversations.
