Upscaling ten existing climate solutions could cut emissions from the Baltics, Poland and Ukraine by 13 per cent

By scaling up 10 selected low-carbon energy solutions, the Baltics, Poland and Ukraine could reduce their emissions by 150 Mt while saving money over time.

The largest CO2 emissions reduction potential is in energy efficiency in buildings and industry, followed by renewable energy solutions, such as wind and solar power development. These are some of the main conclusions from the study Nordic Green to Scale for countries, a concept developed by Sitra, the Finnish Innovation Fund, which conducted the study together with SEI Tallinn for the Nordic Council of Ministers.
