The Ministry of the Environment of Moldova, in collaboration with SEI, has initiated a study on the reuse of treated wastewater in agriculture in Moldova, officials said, according to an article by Jack Laurenson, published by CEEnergy News.
The effort is part of the “Green Agenda” project for Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine, funded by Sida, The Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency.
In response to climate change and water scarcity challenges, the study will explore the potential of treated wastewater as an alternative irrigation source, the ministry in Chisinau said.
We look forward to working with the Government, national experts, and key stakeholders to find innovative solutions to address this issue.
