Integrating mitigation and adaptation: building coherent climate action for resilient economies

part of Your guide to SEI at COP30

Join this COP30 side event with SEI’s Annette Huber-Lee, Laura Forni and Jason Veysey to learn how SEI tools can support integrated water and energy planning with an eye to greater macroeconomic considerations.

15 November 2025 at 11:00 BRT

ending at 12:30 BRT

This side event aims to explore how climate mitigation and adaptation can be strategically integrated across planning, investment, and implementation of nationally determined contributions and national adaptation plans – while accounting for macroeconomic implications. Identify capacity-building and knowledge-sharing priorities to empower local and regional actors, ensuring integration of mitigation and adaptation advances both environmental integrity and economic inclusion.
