SEI and ICoE-TDDR will participate in the Seventh session of the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction to be held in Bali, Indonesia from 23–28 May 2022 to share insights from our research and policy engagement efforts to reduce vulnerability and build resilience across a wide range of sectors and groups.
The theme for this year’s Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction, “From Risk to Resilience: Towards Sustainable Development for All in a COVID-19 Transformed World”, reflects the changing risk landscapes within which we all live. SEI and the International Centre of Excellence for Transforming Development and Disaster Risk (ICoE-TDDR) generate actionable knowledge to support policy and practice actors to better understand the root causes of vulnerability and transform the relationship between development and risk.
At this year’s Global Platform, we will be sharing and discussing our insights and recommendations for building resilience, reducing vulnerability, and promoting more just and equitable DRR action in governance and implementation processes.
