      Brenda joined SEI in May 2017 as a Communications Officer. She currently leads communications in SEI’s ocean and biodiversity strategic policy engagement; and the communications strategy for SEI’s engagement at Stockholm+50. She also leads communications in water- and innovation-related projects such as sWASH&grow, SEI Initiative on Gridless Solutions and sustainable sanitation projects.

      Brenda led Communications in the concluded BONUS project on Reducing Emissions by Turning Nutrients and Carbon into Benefits (RETURN), and Mistra Geopolitics from 2017 to 2020.

      Prior to joining SEI, she worked with various organizations in Marketing and Communications in Kenya, Qatar and Sweden for over five years particularly within digital marketing, public relations and communication.

      She is passionate about creating innovative business solutions to solve the world’s social and environmental problems. Brenda has a Master’s degree in Media and Communication from Stockholm University and a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from Daystar University in Nairobi, Kenya.
