Jindan Gong is a Research Associate at SEI headquarters – Energy and Industry Transitions team, Division of Global Agendas, Climate and Systems.

In her recent and current projects, Jindan conducts interdisciplinary research on the topics of the transition to a fossil-free transport sector, the transition to fossil-free steel and off-grid energy and water solutions. Her work also covers the tracking of public money commitments and other policies relevant to the production and consumption of energy in Sweden. Her area of interest lies in an equitable energy transition and energy systems analysis.

Jindan holds a M.Sc. in Sustainable Energy Engineering and a B.Sc. in Energy and Environment from KTH Royal Institute of Technology. She conducted her master’s thesis at Umeå Energi – performing a techno-economic study on a solar driven charging station for electric vehicles in a Nordic climate.
