Tomás is a Data Scientist for Trase, the Transparency for Sustainable Economies platform, at SEI Headquarters. He is responsible for organizing and ensuring quality protocols to ingest datasets onto the Trase database, as well as producing supply chain maps and indicators results.
Tomás has worked over the last four and a half years to develop and model spatial and non-spatial analysis to generate high-quality information about the interface of supply chains, environmental laws, social, biophysical and land tenure aspects in Brazil.
He is motivated to apply geotechnologies and programming skills to increase sustainable territorial development, improving the relationship between agricultural production and ecological conservation.
Tomás holds a degree in environmental management from the University of São Paulo – “Luiz de Queiroz” College of Agriculture, Brazil (2018).
