The Summit of the Future, hosted by the United Nations in 2024, is a landmark global event that brings together world leaders, policymakers, scientists and civil society to discuss critical challenges and shape a new vision for global governance.

The Summit aims to address emerging risks such as climate change, digital transformation and geopolitical tensions while promoting sustainable development, social inclusion and equity for future generations.

What to expect

The Summit is expected to produce a “Pact for the Future,” a bold and comprehensive agreement aimed at transforming international cooperation. Expect major commitments on climate action, the green economy and digital governance. Insights from leading experts, influential voices from lower-income countries and innovative solutions for addressing complex global issues will be highlighted throughout the event.

Hosted by SEI researchers, this event will explore how governments and organizations can adopt systems thinking to address trade-offs, enhance future planning and foster sustainability.
