Daniela is a Research Associate at SEI Latin America. As part of the Sustainable Transitions Team, she conducts science-based research to inform policymaking. Her research focuses on transforming food systems for sustainability, particularly those linked to livestock, as well as enabling just energy transitions, with a particular emphasis on processes for phasing out coal.
She has over five years of experience conducting scientific research and developing analytical tools to support evidence-based decision-making on sustainability issues. Equity, gender, and socio-environmental conflicts are integral to her work, which draws on conceptual frameworks from political ecology and environmental justice. She is strongly committed to environmental research aimed at advancing more just outcomes.
Daniela holds an MA in Interdisciplinary Development Studies, and a BA in Languages and Cultural Studies, from the Universidad de los Andes in Colombia.
