The event will showcase the project’s water-energy-food (WEF) nexus modelling approaches, including the ONEPlanET simulation tools and knowledge hub, and explore how these outputs can support integrated resource planning and decision-making in Africa.
Through presentations, roundtable discussions, and hands-on testing sessions, participants will exchange insights on scaling nexus solutions, strengthening policy uptake, and shaping future collaboration around sustainable resource management.
The ONEPlanET project supports African policymakers, researchers, investors and citizens with tools and knowledge to expand clean energy and promote sustainable resource use while reducing social and economic inequalities. Coordinated by RINA Consulting in Italy, the project brings together 11 partners across nine European and African countries to share expertise, accelerate water-energy-food nexus modelling, and apply project results to real-world policy and development decisions.
