Moses Kirimi is a Research Associate at SEI Africa under Energy and Climate Change programme. Moses has more than 6 years experience in research focusing on climate change, renewable energy, ambient air pollution monitoring and life cycle assessment of energy systems. His work seeks to provide actionable solutions to energy poverty while minimizing the negative environmental and health impacts associated with energy production and use across the sectors. Moses’ special interest includes decarbonizing energy systems, Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) and air pollution focusing on GHG assessment and inventories.
Prior to joining SEI, Moses worked as a Research Fellow and as a Consultant at the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) and the World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF) between 2018 -2023.
Moses has published insightful research papers focusing on Bioenergy and Household Air Pollution (HAP) that has not only contributed to the academic discourse but also addresses pressing issues related to sustainable energy sources and the mitigation of the related environmental hazards.
Moses has an MSc. in Climate Change and a BSc. in Environment and Agroecosystem management from the University of Nairobi.
