On the other side of the Paris Agreement – what risks do we face and how do we manage them? (11:00–12:00)

The Paris Agreement stipulates that global warming should be limited to well below two degrees. However, there is no magic limit where the risks suddenly strike; every tenth of a degree we can avoid makes a difference and shapes our future opportunities. Climate change has consequences for, among other things, human security, migration, resource distribution and the economy. We must adapt to these new realities while also making adjustments to limit further consequences.

What is required to navigate the complex landscape? What decisions are required from a political perspective to create the conditions for timely adaptation, how is the business sector affected and what adaptations are required from a security and defense perspective?

Despite many good goals for fisheries policy and eutrophication, there is a lack of concrete and funded proposals for how to achieve these goals.
