Nilo Lima is a Research Associate at SEI Latin America who oversees modelling of hydrology and water resources management.

He has eight years of experience in water resources and earth sciences, with expertise in applied modelling of watersheds and water management. At SEI US he participated as a consultant in different initiatives that studied the vulnerability, impact, and adaptation in water resources management in Bolivia and countries such as Colombia, Panama, California, and Argentina – applying WEAP to develop models.

Prior to working as a consultant for SEI, Nilo participated for three years in research initiatives at the Hydraulic and Hydrology Institute of the Universidad Mayor de San Andres (La Paz, Bolivia) developing hydro-climatologic monitoring activities and hydrologic watershed modelling. He also worked in public institutions like the Ministry of Environment and Water developing tools for irrigation and water resources planning.

Nilo holds a degree in Geographic Enginery from Universidad Mayor de San Andrés and a master’s degree in Remote Sensing and GIS applied to Earth Science from the same university.
