Sustainable Development Forum 2012: Opportunities and chances for green economy in Estonia

The Sustainable Development Forum 2012  was a national multi-stakeholder conference and platform for discussions on green economy in the context of sustainable development which was one of the two key topics of the Rio+20 Conference in June 2012.

The Forums are organised biannually by SEI Tallinn together with the partners in order to bring sustainability issues to the forefront of public discourse and to increase the impact of sustainable development on the society.

The Sustainable Development Forum 2012 was held on 3 October in Tallinn. It was financed by the Estonian Environmental Investment Centre and the Government Office. The cooperation partners were also Ministry of Environment, Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Statistics Estonia. The presentations and discussions addressed the key chances and challenges of green economy, such as green jobs, policy instruments and education to promote green economy, measuring progress towards a green economy and how to manage a business in a green way.
