part of Your guide to SEI at COP30
The event will emphasise how sustainability has been addressed in the bioeconomy in the three regions, the lessons learned, and opportunities for further progress in this area. At the same time, we will discuss how multi-level governance, innovation ecosystems, and territorial approaches can bridge the gap between strategy and implementation.
This space will present the main results of the research carried out by the Stockholm Environment Institute – SEI with the initiative “Governing Bioeconomy Pathways” in the three regions (Asia, Africa and Latin America) from 2020 to 2024, based on the following publications:
SEI working paper / The authors distil useful insights regarding sustainable use of bioresources and their transformation into bio-based products in this working paper.
SEI working paper / This working paper analyses bioeconomy strategies and implementation at the subnational, national and regional levels in Colombia, Thailand and East Africa.
