Camilo is the Communications Specialist for SEI Latin America. He leads SEI’s digital strategy in Spanish, guiding multimedia storytelling and regional outreach for key research and publications. He advises researchers on stakeholder engagement and impact strategies, and leads communication capacity-building activities for local communities and researchers.

Before joining SEI, Camilo worked with the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), supporting communications and knowledge management activities for the UNDP/GEF Caribbean and North Brazil Shelf Large Marine Ecosystems (CLME+) project. His background also includes research experience on the social appropriation of knowledge, community development, and social change.

Camilo is passionate about advancing development through a combination of participatory fieldwork and digital platforms. He holds a bachelor’s degree in communications with a concentration in development (C4D) and education from the Universidad de Cartagena, is a Meta-certified Digital Marketing Associate, and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Strategic Communication.
