Stefan joined the SEI Oxford Office in May 2015. He holds a magister’s degree in Film and Media Studies from the University of Vienna (Austria) and a master’s degree in International Security Studies with a minor in Energy Policy and Middle East Studies from Sciences Po University in Paris (France).

During his studies he lived and worked in Lebanon as a research analyst with Energy Intelligence Group Inc. where he focused on international energy markets and European environmental and energy policy. After graduation in 2012, he was a consultant for the German consulting company Adelphi GmbH working on a case study analysing the economic impacts of German and European renewable energy and environmental regulations in the global climate change mitigation actions context.

Stefan then held a junior analyst position at the European Union Institute for Security Studies (EU ISS) where he focused on global energy markets, energy security, EU energy policies and energy issues in sub-Saharan Africa.

Prior joining the SEI Oxford Office he worked as a research fellow at the Jacques Delors Institute in Paris, doing extensive research on European energy and climate change policies for a comprehensive policy proposal report on the European Energy Union.
