      Stefan Bößner is an SEI Affiliated Researcher with SEI Headquarters.

      Stefan is a research analyst and project manager based in France. In the past, he was worked for several renowned research institutes and think tanks such as SEI, the Jacques Delors Institute and the European Union Institute for Security Studies on issues related to climate change mitigation, energy transitions and climate innovation.

      Stefan has published his work in academic journals as well as in books and has worked and lived in France, the United Kingdom, Lebanon and Thailand.

      His fields of expertise include energy and climate policies, energy markets, energy security, renewable energy with a focus on bioenergy, energy transition pathways and fossil fuel developments, particularly coal. He is also keen on policy engagement and on getting the message of climate action out to a wider audience.

      Stefan holds a master’s degree in International Affairs from Sciences Po Paris and a degree in Media Studies from the University of Vienna.
