The Informed Resilience Initiative (IRI) brings together world-class expertise in climate research, social research and climate services to address a persistent gap in development and adaptation programming: the distance between what climate science produces and what people can use to make better decisions. Drawing on deep experience, especially in lower-income countries, IRI addresses this gap by integrating climate data infrastructure, seasonal and sub-seasonal forecasting, rigorous user needs assessment, institutional capacity development, and impact evaluation.
