Latin America has enormous potential for the development of renewable energy and can play a key role in the global energy transition. However, realizing this potential requires overcoming structural challenges, from strengthening regulatory and market frameworks, planning and expanding infrastructure, and improving financing and investment conditions, to managing territorial dynamics such as local governance, community participation, trust in institutions, socio-environmental impacts and benefit sharing.
Our team works at the intersection of these challenges to promote the accelerated, fair and inclusive deployment of renewable energy in Latin America. We collaborate with decision-makers, institutions, communities and strategic partners to generate applied evidence, strengthen capacities and develop tools that help improve the quality of decision-making in complex contexts.
We combine technical, analytical and convening capacities to develop evidence and instruments that balance energy goals with social, environmental and economic dynamics. We promote spaces for dialogue to strengthen understanding of the challenges associated with the deployment of renewable energy, connecting regional and international experiences. In this way, we accelerate learning and inform public policies that help scale solutions for a more effective, sustainable and resilient energy future.
