Target audience: Companies and organizations interested in circular economy (in particular, companies in the textile industry, businesses who work with used clothing and textile waste) and relevant public sector organizations.
The first part of the webinar will be held in English and the second part, after the break, in Estonian, and is free of charge.
The textile industry has been named as one of the priority areas by the European Commission Green Deal and Circular Economy Action Plan. Therefore, in Estonia we should think how to transition textile sector to a more circular system.The webinar will give an overview of the European Union’s political guidelines for the establishment of a circular system for used clothing and textiles. In addition, a summary of the post-consumer textile flow mapping results of a project supported by the Nordic Council of Ministers, is presented. In addition, several examples will be presented regarding circular textile development projects and solutions from Estonia and in neighbouring countries (for example Finland).
