Katarina Inga is a Research Associate at SEI Headquarters – Rights and Equity Team.
She works on the ‘EnTruGo’ project, that focuses on the impact of hydropower on traditional Sámi lands, eg how (failure in) hydropower governance affects trust between the involved parties and the consequences this has for sustainability.
Katarina comes to SEI from a position with the Country Administrative Board of Norrbotten, the unit for natural resources and reindeer herding. She holds MSc degrees in both biology and environmental law.
Internationally she has represented Sámi indigenous perspectives within the Arctic Council’s working group for conservation of Arctic flora and fauna, and held positions with among other the Swedish Sámi Association and the Sámi Council.
