Dr Ridhi Saluja is a Research Fellow and the Lead of the Water and Ecosystem Resilience Team at SEI Asia. She has extensive experience in water, wetlands and ecosystems research along with proficiency in remote sensing and GIS. In her ongoing research, Ridhi addresses multifaceted transboundary water-related challenges within the South and South Asian River basins, accentuating wetlands management and restoration, Ecosystem-based Adaptation (EbA), Nature-based Solutions (NbS) and climate-smart landscapes. She is also leading the multistakeholder engagement and capacity building activities under Sustainable Mekong Research Network (SUMERNET), a flagship programme of SEI.

Prior to joining SEI, she was associated with Wetlands International-South Asia where she focused on developing integrated management plans for wetlands, conducting biodiversity and climate vulnerability assessments and Water and WASH.

She is a gold medallist and PhD in Environmental Sciences with several peer-reviewed journal articles, reports and book chapters to her credit.
