Jennifer is a Communications Specialist at SEI York with a wealth of experience acquired over a decade working in the development sector. She will work with our researchers on two main research groups: the air quality, climate and environment change group and the critical environment governance group.
She has worked in Nigeria and Ethiopia with international development organizations, including the African Union projects with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ), Media Rights Agenda, USAID projects with Chemonics Inc., and Save the Children. In the latter, she was pivotal in developing and implementing a national strategy for communication and continuity during the Covid-19 pandemic. She also worked on developing and implementing the 2013 Guidelines on the Implementation of the 2011 Nigeria Freedom of Information Act for Ministries, departments, and agencies.
Jennifer was an Oxford-Annenberg Media Fellow (2016) and has contributed to various media reports, and co-edited several articles and newsletters. This builds on expertise developed through her Master’s in International Law and Diplomacy (University of Lagos) and her BA in Political Science (University of Ibadan).
